Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AI SHOP CHECK, operated under the name DDANZG, handles information used to provide the AI SHOP CHECK web service and Shopify app.

1. Information we process

  • Web-service account information: email address, login-code state and session-related information.
  • Web-service scan data: store URLs, product URLs selected for analysis, scores, grades, detected gaps, scan timestamps and monitoring settings.
  • Shopify app information: shop identifier and domain, Shopify session and authorization information, and product information permitted by the merchant through the read_products scope, including product titles, descriptions, product types, vendors, tags, SEO fields and image ALT text.
  • Shopify scan data: diagnostic scores, grades, issue summaries, product-level diagnostic snapshots, scan timestamps and scan history.
  • Billing state: for the web service, Paddle customer and subscription identifiers and subscription status may be processed. For the Shopify app, subscription and plan status is managed through Shopify and may be processed as needed to apply plan features and limits. AI SHOP CHECK does not store payment-card numbers.
  • Technical data: request metadata, error information and security or operational logs produced by hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Communications: information you send when contacting support.

2. Web-service store content

When you submit a store URL to the web service, AI SHOP CHECK fetches publicly accessible ecommerce pages to perform the scan. The web service is designed to store scan summaries rather than a permanent copy of the full fetched product-page HTML.

3. Shopify app product data

The Shopify app reads product information authorized by the merchant in order to calculate diagnostic scores, identify missing or weak product information and provide scan history and comparison features. The Shopify app requests the read_products scope and does not request access to customer or order data.

4. How we use information

  • Provide authentication, product-data analysis, scans, diagnostic results and scan history.
  • Provide saved-store and monitoring features where available in the web service.
  • Apply Free and Pro usage limits and determine subscription access.
  • Send login codes, operational emails and alerts where applicable.
  • Prevent abuse, investigate errors and maintain service security.
  • Respond to support, privacy and billing requests.

5. Service providers

Depending on which version of AI SHOP CHECK you use, service providers may include Cloudflare for the public web service, Google Cloud for Shopify app hosting, Supabase for Shopify app database services, Brevo for transactional email, Paddle for web-service checkout and subscription management, and Shopify for app authentication, APIs, app distribution and Shopify app billing. These providers process information as needed to deliver their respective functions and may process data in countries outside your own jurisdiction.

6. Cookies, sessions and browser storage

The web service may use browser local storage for session and workspace identifiers. Paddle may use its own cookies or browser technologies during web-service checkout and billing management. The Shopify app uses Shopify authentication and session mechanisms necessary to operate as an embedded Shopify app.

7. Retention

Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the applicable service, maintain scan history and subscription access, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and maintain operational records. Scan history may be limited or replaced according to plan limits. Shopify privacy webhooks are used to handle applicable data access and deletion requests.

8. Security

We use access controls, authenticated sessions, encrypted connections, platform secrets, webhook signature verification and other reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and requests

You may contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and information we must retain for legal, billing, security or dispute-resolution purposes. Shopify merchants may also exercise applicable platform privacy rights through Shopify.

10. International users

The service is operated from Japan and uses international infrastructure and service providers. Information may therefore be processed in multiple jurisdictions as necessary to provide the service.

11. Changes

We may update this policy when the service, providers or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
